what is this seedling?

hey all

I was given these seedlings by a neighbour who insisted the seeds came out of a packet labeled tomato, they dont look or smell like tomatos, anyone got any suggestions on what they could be?

Looks like a tomatillo plant. Certainly not a tomato but it still makes a good salsa :)

Ahh yes, of course it is. Cheers for that naturegirl, never made salsa before, should be interesting.

You need two tomatillo plants in order to get fruits.

Those cartons look suspiciously like former tofu containers.....

Thanks for that zackey, that saved a lot of frustration i was only planning on growing 1. And pnbrown...so not tofu containers, just ordinary seedling punnets, would rather eat toe nails clippings than tofu hahaha

Tofu like chicken taste as good as the season you use.

jolj - seasoning adds to the flavour but imo a good chicken tastes great roasted with no seasoning at all. Unlike tofu.

Well, tofu is rather by definition flavorless.

Try, at least, a LITTLE salt and pepper with that chicken. It will become 100x more flavorful.
