Sigaretta Dolce pepper

Have you been happy with this pepper? It's not the pepperoncini type I expected. The single plant I grew this year was incredibly prolific but I couldn't use the peppers up fast enough. (didn't pickle any) If you grew this pepper, how did you use it? It's long and skinny and definitely not very spicy.

We love it. You are right that it is prolific but only works as a pepperoncini if picked young and small.

Otherwise it it is a sweet chili, more like a frying pepper, not a 'hot'. The more color it develops the sweeter it gets so try it at various stages of green to red.

Pickles beautifully and also freezes well, roasted first or not, for cooking during the winter.

Thanks for the feedback, Dave. Wish I could get more excited about a plant that is so prolific.
