Google "owl boxes" or similar. There are several plans available online. Build one (or two?) and put them up!

Which do you have....moles or voles?

I helped a friend put in a raised garden this year. They want fresh home grown vegetables.
They did not want a compost pile, because of voles (field mouse) & moles. So I dug down about 8 inches & removed the soil, then put down 1/4 square screen/ hardware cloth, stapled it to the boards & covered it with soil, compost & pine bark fines.
They had a great garden & not vole damage!
