Often local markets, feed and farm stores, and groceries will start carrying them at the proper planting time. Online, I like Ronnigers (linked below). Harvest for next year is just beginning at most suppliers but they will be starting shipping in the next week or so.

Seed potatoes tend to be quite expensive. I buy them in february for planting on April 1 at the local natural food store. Go to the organic potato bin, and take all the small ones. Then leave them somewhere in the house so they get light and develop eyes. This will set you back about $5 for a 50 ft row. They have Yukon Gold and red skinned ones always, and occasionally I have found fingerlings. All worked well.

If there are not enough small ones, get some big ones, let them develop eyes, cut them in two, so that there are eyes in each half, then cure the wound with wood ash (dip them into it).

Certified seed is generally unavailable at the retail level in fla, IME. And although of course the seed-stock exists, a lot of the mail-order dealers may not be shipping so early in the year.

Glib's suggestion has always worked fine for me. If you want more unusual varietes your best bet may be to find an individual to buy or trade from. SSE listings would be your best source. Will Bonsall of maine maintains the entire potato stock for SSE, I have bought from him several times.
