Does anybody have experience with Savoy cabbage and their cold tolerance? We have our first killing frost here end of October...

Last year my Savoy cabbages went through a night when the temp dropped to about 8 (my gravity feed spring water froze) followed by 16 days and nights when the weather never got above 32. The cabbages were in perfect condition--not even a sign of damage. They were covered with row covers, but I hardly think the row covers prevented the damage. I harvest my Savoys in late Dec. and early Jan. They are unbelievable sweet, and to get fresh produce then... Well...

Yep, the savoys are great. I was ready to brag on mine dancing through 22 degrees...Glad to know just how tough they are.
