Curing sweet potatoes in the basement

beth11

Hi All,

Just harvested 11 pounds of sweet potatoes from one earthbox! I'm thrilled! I've tried growing them in the garden before but the bunnies and voles killed them off. I was given three slips this spring and figured what the heck. So, I know they need to be cured at 80F and high humidity to bring out the sweetness. After thinking about it, can I but them in a covered container and set them on my seed starting mat? I got a big honking one as a present one year. Any thoughts??

Thanks,
Beth
