Chickpea microgreens?

Have you ever tried growing chickpea shoots for microgreens? Do they taste anything like pea shoots? Any toxicity issues I should be concerned about? Thanks.

Edit: Just to clarify, I am referring to shoots and not sprouts. I would let them grow for several days after germination before I harvest them.

don't know how to advise, Slimy, as I grow only sunflower, pea, and buckwheat greens. I do eat fava greens when I over plant them. But I do know that chickpeas are the fastest germinators, producing spears in two days, and given that peas and fava greens are so similar, I would guess chickpeas will be similar to them too.

Chick pea shoots are pretty tough, although the young leaves can be eaten. They taste slightly sour. I cook them with the spinach etc. Try them out. The pods themselves are very fibrous and not edible.

Thanks.

Glib, are fava shoots safe to eat? Do they taste similar to pea shoots?

yes and yes. I buy the cover crop favas, no point in buying expensive seeds if the greens are the same.
