I know they were open pollinated & could have been pollinated from 5 or 6 different types of squash plants
But do seeds from things like this tend to be true
As in should the seeds from the round zuc with the neck produce the same
Or
Is it just a crap shoot

The first one looks like it's mixed with some type of gourd in the C. pepo species. Plant any gourds? The second one definitely looks like it's got a lot of zucchini in it. Unfortunately there will probably be no way to know for certain what crossed with what to produce these two fruits.

If you didn't prevent cross pollination then it's a crap shoot. Just like you have weird things popping up now from cross pollination, you'll have no idea what the fruit will look like next year if you save the seeds and replant them. There's a very slim chance that you'll get the same looking fruit but the odds are heavily stacked against you.

Seems to be a common issue as there have been many posts here this year with pics of lots of crosses. Just no way to know what they are given how easily squash cross.
