what bug was that?

Me and my boyfriend were de-rocking the soil a couple of weeks ago (shovel and screen and amending the soil) We shoveled some soil into the screen and there were 3 or 4 centipede looking things in the dirt, we were in a hurry to get the beds ready to take pics. They were a silver or almost white looking. Does anyone know what they were without a photo?

No. Please post pictures.

Any number of possibilities. But since they apparently weren't doing any harm, just assume they were one of the hundreds of neutral or beneficial soil dwellers. If they were in the millipede/centipede family then they kill and eat harmful grubs like Japanese beetle grubs.
