So Burpee is advertising this, and I wonder - just how is it supposed to be different from any other early, short sweet corn?

Here is a link that might be useful:

It seems to be productive with medium-sized cobs even with extreme root cramping...or so it claims. sh2 type...

It will be interesting to see how it does in the "real world" by the time next summer wraps up.

Odd - my link fell off.

I've seen people growing container corn that looks very crowded and cramped in there, and they claim to get good yields. Ordinary corn.

I got the e-mail, too.

Looks interesting, worth a try.

I got that ad, too. One big problem here is that sweet corn always falls over. Does anyone know of other short varieties that make high-quality ears?

I grew some aztec black corn this last season that stayed relatively short (about 6') that I plan on container growing next year at much higher densities.

As long as you keep them properly fed (use lawn fertilizer) and watered, everything I've read says they're quite happy to grow in cramped containers.
