Solidly Frozen Cardoon Stalks

Is there any edible use for frozen cardoons? Mine were blanched with bags in preparation for late harvest. Unfortunately an unusual (for this time of year) cold has frozen them solid. This was my first year growing them - beautiful plants!!! Can I salvage the frozen stalks for eating?

Maybe for cardoon soup. Not for fresh eating. Keep them frozen. Last year the same happened to me and I went cardoon-free. This year I picked them early with root and dirt and stashed them in the garage. There is a veritable jungle in there.

Couple of suggestions...

1) Soup is a very good idea. Wash/cut/put in individual packaging. Freeze/keep frozen until use.
1. Dry-Dehydrate. Trim leaves, trim ends, wash and cut into small (bite size?) pieces. To preserve color, soak in cold water with baking soda (1.5 Liters/1 tbsp b.soda) for 5 min. Blanch for 2 min, drain and dehydrate at 37-38C (100F) until crisp (15-18 hrs). Use as they are or blend them into flakes. Use in soups, stews, etc.
