Padrn pepper may be in trouble

I am very new to gardening (been at it since maybe May of this year?) I live in San Francisco and have a small container garden of vegetables started. My padrn pepper so far has produced one whole pepper, and lots of flowers? But recently I noticed the leaves were looking really yellow? In a panic I added some compost to the top of the pot, and some of the yellowing got better. BUT the plot thickens because now the leaves are beginning to shrivel/bunch up? Parts of them look a little dark too?

My vegetables haven't been getting much sunlight since the chillier rainier weather has come around, so I don't know if that's the issue or if I have done something wrong? I'm not sure how to correct it? Any ideas?
