That looks really nice. Are you happy with your choice for gravel as part of the path? Cool pillar, where did you find it? Nice mix of plants, but watch out for those ferns. I had a similar fern try to take over an entire bed, I was surprised by that.

Here is what I really like about this project. In the before picture it looks like an abandoned weed patch. Why would I want to go there? In the after picture it looks like there is something special at the end of that path. I cannot see what is there but I want to go and check it out! The area feels much larger.

Is the plinth in that spot for a specific reason? Could it possibly be sited at the end of the path, it is something to go down the path and check out! Will it have something sitting on the top of it eventually? What you have created looks very nice...

Beautiful. The area looks much larger and the pillar and curving path add drama and a bit of mystery. If I added anything it might be an annual like coleus or impatiens in that one little empty spot, or a contrasting small hosta there, like a Pandora's box or other white & green hosta.

You did a great job of planning and shopping for plants for this area.....i think it looks great!

nicely done. I am not a fan of little white pebbles, it feels artifical to me. But that is personal taste and it seems to work in this situation. Is that a gate at the end?? The design makes you want to follow the path to see what lurks behind the gate. I love mysteries, reminds me of my childhood exploring.

Previous posts are concerned about the plants growing to big for the area. Not a problem, if you are like me, you'll want to move things around and/or plant something that catches you eye at the local nursery. Herbaceous material is so much fun. It is so easy to transplant, divide etc. HAVE FUN. Maybe a trellis with an annual vine on the blank wall. Or Clematis (sun) shade roots. Or a water feature one that hangs on wall etc. I wish there was some other material to edge the path.
