Be very specific with your supplier regarding what your desired look is. The cheaper option is twisted wire gabion baskets, which look like a rock pile burrito made with a chain link fence tortilla. If you're shooting for that cool modern look I'm seeing in all the European garden design mags, you'll be supremely disappointed by wire gabions.

Just had to chuckle about my dad. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company years ago and did some planning and organizing for outdoor projects...
