I need to get some smarts here.cause I aint got any.

I'm going to plant annual flowers, but I want to put down mulch as well.soooo, what goes in first?,the mulch, then dig a hole for the flowers ,or plant the flowers, then cover the mess with mulch, and brush the mulch off the flowers.

RE: mulch and annual flowers

Plant, then mulch. And don't cover them all up. Apply the mulch with a gentle touch :-) Mulch will tend to reduce or eliminate self-seeding or seed germination if you plant seeds directly, so keep that in mind as well.
