This is the view from my garage. What can I plant here to provide some screening/privacy. The fence belongs to my neighbor, my property line in 6 inches in. I'm in Northern Somerset county. Directly under the Linden gets the afternoon shade.

Maybe some upright Junipers with a subplanting of Hydrangea? How much use do you get with the basketball hoop? Just a thought.

A hedge of Prunus laurocerasus 'Schipkaensis' along the fence and another Linden halfway between the driveway and left corner of the fence is one suggestion.

That will mitigate the neighbor. Then you can add color or whatever floats your boat in between the hedge and drive. If the hoop is active, I'd leave that area grassed.

Thanks, it's funny that you suggested a row of Prunus laurocerasus 'Schipkaensis'. My neighbor on the other side of me planted a row of thoses last spring. They really look great and are doing well in the semi-shade.
The B-Ball hoop is new and does get quite a bit of use.
