USDA hardiness zone?

Teddy Bear ® Magnolia will live well into Zone 6. We have reports of it living and thriving at a nursery in Suffolk Virginia. I don't know your zone. I would probably plant in the spring, keeping it watered well throughout the summer to let it root in well before the winter. It is a smaller magnolia- 20' tall in 20 years-it requires very little pruning to keep its shape and holds up to snow loads better then other magnolias.

Early propagations grew 2 meters in 4 years.
