Annz re Cedar on Chainlink

The fence you asked about attached to the chainlink is 2x2 clear cedar on about 9" centers with 5/4 top rail and 2x4 PT bottom. I did that to not only make the cyclone disappear but to carry on with a kind of "peekaboo" theme I have in the front. The original design was for climbers. It has the same top and bottom rail but the 2x2's are on 3-1/2" centers with 1/2 copper sprayed with acrylic to keep it bright horizontally on 18" centers with amber glass post caps. I didn't like what was on the other side (neighbors yard)but figured if I made the fence and the climbers the focus, the eye wouldn't have the tendency to look past the fence. The horizontal copper was originally intended for vertical tying support but I liked the look so well, I incorporated a copper gate to pull it all together.
