Hello....I want to rip out this mess at the base of my walkway! I think the shrub may be juniper. The roses were once carpet roses; but my landscaper pruned them and this is what happened. We live in RI where there is snow and lots of plowing and sand, which means this area will take a beating as it is street-side, Any suggestions as to what to put here? There is a coral rose bush up against the lamp post that used to be beautiful but has now seen better days...Its a small area but it is a focal point. Thank you so much.
