No response on Gardening for Wildlife forum so thought I'd try it here:

You know that sound 'ulululu' made by Arab women in 'Lawrence of Arabia'... I hear it when I walk -- the sound seems to come from a small vernal pond next to a larger pond that I walk around. I'm guessing it's something like tadpoles, or frogs?
