Stone Patio Drainage help

So, last year we built a small stone area in the center of our yard, kind of a patio. Even with our best compaction, some of the stones have sunk a bit and puddles when it rains. Any ideas on how we can divert the rainwater, prefereably without pulling up the stones?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You give few details so it's difficult to speculate on the extent of the problem and what you can do about it. What kind of stone? How was it compacted? How large is patio? How uneven? A picture could help.
