Replace the posts,the walkway,plant hosta,forsythia,fern,azalea,boxwood..I do a part.

Your white trim is a good contrast to the medium tone of the brick. Taupe or Beige might be too close in value to the brick, and you might not like it. I'd stick with the white trim.

Thinning a tree is always a good thing. It will allow more sun into the yard, and also help with rejuvenating the tree.

I saw this and thought of your house.

The picture is blurry and poorly framed. Can't see plantings. Can't tell where the street is.

I am so sorry about the pictures, yardvaark, I have taken three more pictures - hopefully they will be more helpful. There are two large bushes by the road that obscure the view of the house. The bed to the left of the front door is empty except for a few bulbs. Hope this helps!

That's better. What you need now is one shot from farther back that shows the whole house in one photo ... showing all the way to the curb, if possible.
