We're going to build a pergola over our patio next weekend, and my clothesline is just to the left of the patio. There's about a foot of land before it slopes down. If this were your home, how would you landscape on that hill, bearing in mind that the clothesline is there and it would be nice to somehow get some privacy on that side of the patio. Thoughts or ideas? |

| You didn't say just how much it slopes and what then--does it flatten out? If it is just a gentle slope I'd put a rock garden there with trellises and vines growing in front of the pergola. |
