If you're expecting Image to get rid of the nutsedge, I hope you have better luck than I've had. I've not been able to get it to do more than top kill. The nutgrass always returns. Since you're putting in pavers, you might consider one of those brush-killer herbicides that prevent the regrowth of anything. Good luck. Trying to get rid of nutgrass seems to be trip through uncharted territory.

I'm with Yardvaark on this. Nutsedge can be difficult to control even with repeated applications. Like crabgrass, turf scientists have had to come up with special formulas to try and eradicate it.

Worse, nutsedge loves abundant moisture, so laying pavers on it will actually help it thrive. It will travel however far it has to and then come up on the far side of the pavers!

I had one area of a medium-light density infestation, about the size of a car, that I continuously pulled every week or ten days and it did cure up in a half summer. I was nearly in disbelief.
