Companion plants for Bridal Wreath Spirea (foundation plantings)

I have an existing row of bridal wreath spirea around the foundation of my 1930s brick Tudor home. They have been trimmed back and lots of new growth has started. However, I am now ready to start thinking of companion plants and am drawing a blank. I would like to soften the look, as well as add some color and interest with some additional plants.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

How much sun does this area get? How big is the planting bed? Do you want season long color? what color, evergreen, short, tall, shrub, perennial, annual, variety of plants or just 1 or 2?

FWIW I have a bridal wreath spirea in the south west corner of my house that is in a partly shady spot so I have part shade plants nearby (Brunnera, creeping phlox, tulips, hostas, siberean iris)
