Companion plants for Bridal Wreath Spirea (foundation plantings)

I have an existing row of bridal wreath spirea around the foundation of my 1930s brick Tudor home. They have been trimmed back and lots of new growth has started. However, I am now ready to start thinking of companion plants and am drawing a blank. I would like to soften the look, as well as add some color and interest with some additional plants.
