I took out a dead juniper from the dark spot that you see and would like to replace it with something else. Any ideas of what would look good...

| Bird's Nest Spruce (Picea Abies "Nidiformis") - a slow growing flat topped dwarf well suited to rock gardens and hardiness zones 3-8. Be a nice compliment to the ball shaped shrub and the creeper. Mine seems to "expand" maybe a scant inch per year so one would never block your view out over the garden. It's a charming conifer. Is the old juniper stump going to be ground/dug out?
