Landscape Walkway Design Assistance

I am in the need of advice on the type of walkway to build on the north side of my house.

I am wanting to build some sort of walkway that leads from the front corner of my house through the gate to the backyard, ending near my backyard flower bed. The reason that I am wanting to put down a walkway is because the grass won't grow well on the outside and inside of the gate areas. The area measures about 30ft from the corner of my front bed(shown at the bottom left corner in the picture) to the gate and about 20ft from the gate to the back corner of the rear bed. I don't want to just construct a walkway the just starts and ends out of the middle on nowhere(or maybe that is ok?)

Any advice that you can provide would be much appreciated.

The picture doesn't show the complete span of the walk, but only the "middle of nowhere" portion. Therefore, we wouldn't have enough information to help with routing, starting or ending. Hence, the only advice I could offer at this point is don't make the walk too narrow, grade it properly and make it of a durable material. You would need to be forthcoming of existing conditions and objectives for the walk in order to get further advice.

I am not sure how to give a "complete" picture of how to give the best view. Would the same sort of picture be best with the gate open? Does this website allow multiple pictures to be posted at the same time? I am a rookie to this site.

The purpose of the walk is to create a walkway because the grass on the north side of the house does not grow well. Especially on both sides of the gate. the posted picture does not show this very well. On both sides of the gate, the ground slopes away from the house.

Please tell me what ever other bits of information that you need and I will provide it in order for you to assist. Thanks!

It would be helpful to show the extent of the walk ... the beginning to the end. I presume it begins somewhere behind where the photographer is standing to take the above shot. It would be better to move farther away from the house and take a picture where the house is square on in the background. Be far enough away that where the walk begins can be seen at the left end of the photo and the gate can be seen at the right end. Now go outside the gate and do basically the same thing: take a picture with the house in the background ... the gate will be at the left end of the photo and we can see where the walk will travel from there to its destination or as far as the photo will allow. Continue moving the camera position and taking pictures (always staying about the same distance from the house) until we see where the walk terminates at the right end of the picture. The pictures should overlap slightly so that we can put together in our minds how they fit together. In the end, it should be such that the pictures could be spliced together and the proposed walk could be seen in its entirety, if it existed.
