| What is the best understory tree that will get some sun, some will have morning sun and some afternoon late. We are looking for a tree that will fill in under trees that are tall and losing their lower branches and one that will give us some level of privacy. |

| Maybe Cornus alternifolia, if it never gets too hot and dry there. |

| amelanchier, japanese maple are other options. i like boy's suggestion too. |
