Green/Vegetative/Living Retaining walls

So, I am looking at putting in a curved driveway, and due to the slope of my lot, I'm looking at approximately 160 feet of curved retaining walls no more than 3.5 feet tall.

Given that I have a small lot (4500 sq feet) and an even smaller house (950 sq feet)..and that the driveway will cut through my front and side yards, I thought it might be nice to minimize the amount of blacktop and engineered stone wall is on my yard. Cement is not an option as I'm in the Northeast.

I started reading about green option for the retaining walls. (Vegetative walls? Living Walls?). Looks like there are a few options (Filtrexx, VersaGreen, GeoWeb, Envirolok). If I can't have New England drystacked rock walls (too expensive and I won't have the time, as I'm solo) I like the idea of having native plants lining my driveway.

Has anyone used something like this? How do the costs compare to something like Versa-Lok's Mosaic line?

Thanks so much....
