Infill Trees

Hi,

I have a space roughly 37' between a Manchurian Ash and a Harvest Gold Linden along a 6" privacy fence. I am looking for some smaller trees (15-20') to infill the area.

First question. Would I get matching trees or should I get 2 different, but similar trees.

Some trees I was thinking about are Thunderchild Crab or Midnight Chokecherry. I chose these based on the purple Foliage. I am not tied to the purple foliage.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Your zone may be reducing your potential pool of responses here, as is the fact that your question is probably more suitable for the Tree forum.

I like dozens of trees, but I have no idea whether they could survive in your zone. The trees people will.

I thought the same thing Karin but it is half way a design question and half way a tree selection Q. The "purple foliage" is the design part.
