Boy do I have a challenging lot for all you budding designers. I will post some pics tonight or tomorrow of my yard, but i need HELP and ideas. Lost of slope from front to back, especially going from front yard to back yard. Its a mess and very difficult to maintain.

Just have to point out that some of the posters here are actually professional landscape designers and gardeners with a lot of landscape experience. (This unfortunately doesn't include me.)

Make sure to provide the angle of the slope. I don't have more than a few sq. Meters of plumb flat land, but slopes also can add interest in elevation changes. When I first got my house... I thought how can I landscape this place nothing's flat and usable for my needs. Selective terracing can provide flat space for functions and slopes can yield some interesting views.
