I am building a new house in Katy Tx and didn't opt for lawn (backyard) from builder. I choose to do it by myself. I am planning to seed common bermuda grass. Is it good time to do the seeding during september and do I need to put top soil before seeding?

RE: Posting

A better place to post this question would be the Texas Gardening Forum. A better title would be "Seeding Burmuda Grass Houston Area."

RE: Posting

Also there is a lawn forum. If you are doing it yourself, be sure to install an automatic sprinkler system. It will look terrible if you think you are going to hand water. Life gets in the way.
