| We have Old Miami pavers installed from the back of the house out to the pool. We now wish that we had not started directly from the house as we would like to have some landscaping along the back of the house. We are thinking about removing just a couple of feet of paver but will it make the rest of the patio loose?? Is there a particular way we should remove them? |

| If they're properly installed it shouldn't be an issue. When you get the pavers to where you want them, install an edge restraint butted up tight against the pavers (the edge restraint is secured to the base with 12" long metal spikes - your local stoneyard that sells pavers can supply everything). As for a particular method, pop the first with a flathead screwdriver and lift the rest out by hand. If a polymeric sand was used in the joints, you'll need to heat the sand with hot water to loosen it. The quick way is to rent a hot water pressure washer, the slow way is an electric kettle. Depends on budget and patience. |
