Looking for some inspiration for your next garden design but finding magazines sparse with content let alone fresh ideas, your dog eared gardening books have little that would apply to your landscape, and the gardening forums are….well quiet to say the least. Then you might want to check out the "Smithsonian’s Horticulture Division" web page where they announced; The Archives of American Gardens (AAG), founded in 1987, offers landscape designers, historians, researchers, and garden enthusiasts to approximately 80,000 photographic images and records that document a wide variety of historic and contemporary gardens throughout the United States. Yes that’s right EIGHTY THOUSAND photos and records that are very organized. Enjoy. Katy

Looks like they are saying you can search them through the web site. Could be exciting.
