| I am very happy with Gordon Haywards, 'The Welcoming Garden'. I reference it often, and it has given me many ideas for landscaping my property (first time homeowner).
I have an odd shaped space that I'm working with, and I was wondering if anyone can recommend another of his books that would broach this subject? Basically, I'm looking for info on how to tie in this area of my yard with the rest of it, for a better flow. Any other recommendations for reference material? |

| No reference for reading material, But a couple of suggestions. You can either take elements from the existing areas and include them in that area. Like plants or colors or you can make it into a separate room by separating it with shrubs. I saw one in a magazine who made a garden room and it was lovely. It had a shrub on each side and a small garden bench nestled in the back with flowers beds on each side. It was not completely cut off but the bench was hidden. You could use a fountain or birdbath instead of a bench and still achieve the same effect. I hope you find your book. |
