Hi, I am looking to purchase several root or 1 gallon size trees. For instance, various arborvitae trees. What websites would you recommend that I buy from?

I agree...Stay away from Ty-Ty and anyone associated with them.

You might check out The Arbor Day Society. Their things are very reasonable priced, especially if you are a member.

If you're wanting to plant a LOT of trees, it's a good idea to check the conservation department or forestry division for your own state. Some states provide very low cost seedlings but only for residents of that state. Here's the link for North Carolina:
