flower companion for Nikko blue hydrangea??

Hi,
Any suggestions for a pretty flower (preferably all/most of summer flowering) to plant in front of a blue hydrangea?? I've been trying to find something yellow. Might a daylily work in those same conditions??? Any other color combo that might be especially pretty??
Thanks,
Linda

Personally I love my red Cardinal Flower (Lobelia cardinalis) with my Nikko Blue.

Or how about 'White Swan' Coneflowers?

This was in July before it was in full bloom. The bright yellow Coreopsis 'Zagreb' blooms all summer and looks great next to the blue too.

WOW!! The colors sure 'pop' with the cardinal flower! I tried planting a 'golden marguerite' but I think there is too much shade where my Hydrangea is.
Thanks for the great pics!
Linda
