HAVE: Artichoke Plants

I have more artichoke seedlings (globe and imperial) than I can plant in my garden. They are currently inside under lights and are about 2 inches high. I would trade a few for something edible and interesting. Prefer a trade with someone in the Northern Virginia area since sending plants in the mail is a pain. The picture shows my globe artichokes grown in 2013.

Last year I raised some from seeds. When they got bigger they withered and died. Do you know what I did wrong?

I don't know. Maybe cutworms? They do need to be kept watered. Here are my seedlings. Artichokes and leeks.

I have a shade garden that I could probably trade you for one of the plants. Give me an Idea as to the type of shade plants you are looking for. I have various Hosta's, ferns, Astilbe's. etc...
