I too like to use Stevia but if memory serves me correctly, the plant is not allowed in the US. We can get it in other forms but the plant is not allowed. FDA regs.
I have always wanted to try growing Angel Trumpets. They grow wonderfully here in NC.

Thats news to me, your info must be outdated :)
Plants are available periodically in local nurseries (incl walmart)and quite often in several online shops but still very expensive.

Can you back up your claim with the FDA regulation link? I'd be very interested!! Thanks much!

United States
* Stevia leaf and extracts are available as dietary supplements (1995)
* Rebaudioside A is available (December 2008) as a food additive (sweetener). It is now available under multiple trade names including: PureVia, Reb-A, Rebiana, Sweet Leaf, and Truvia

I prefer fresh herb over a "processed sweetener".

Hi, I don't have the stevia plants your looking for. I am new to gardening and was wandering if your were willing to part with a few for postage? Thank you for your time!
