Have: Mexican Firecracker

I am trimming back my Mexican Firecracker plant, it took over since I haven't given it any love in a while. I'm not really looking for plants, but more in seeds. I don't know if I am going to plant as much as I want this year, so I would rather have seeds for next year :) I live in Tx z8, so let me know what you may have and we can work it out, I'm still rather new at this trading :)

I'm interested - can you give me the botanical name, as there are many plants called 'firecracker' plant. Thanks!

Justicia spicigera, I believe this is the right name! If I could find my camera, I would take a pic!

If we are talking about hamelia patens it is related to witch hazel and the seeds must be collected by cutting the nearly ripe pods or bagging them to capture the seeds as they pop from the pods. there are other plants called firecracker

Debbie! I must have metally responded to you! Sorry! I am going to harvest seeds tomorrow if it doesn't rain, I have cut some already to attempt cuttings and when I see roots I will update this thread. I would rather send a "sure" thing than a "it might plant".
