Retiring...have plants to trade

Posted by bigred z8 Ark. (My Page) on

I retire last year from my small retail plant nursery and lost tons of plants when 2 huge oaks that were shading my best shade beds, fell. What wasn't crushed later died in nearly 4 months the worst triple digit heat and drought of my life time so now I'm looking to rebuild w/ plants that will survive in predicted 10 yr. cycle of Le Nino~ weather.

Looking to make multiple plant trades that will fit in $16.00 priority box. Larger trades will be considered if I know you or your R&R is stellar.

My Have list is not complete as of yet because all have not sprouted out for the year yet.More will be added as I see what survived. I will look at your wish list and make an offer if I see something on it I have but haven't listed yet.

Serious traders only. If you think you may not be able to follow thur, please do not make an offer. I maybe retired but I'm still very busy.

If I have anything you're interested in, let me know. I love big trades and I've been around Gw for a while now :o)

RE: Retiring...have plants to trade

My "luck" is holding...or maybe I should say...I'm laboring under "Murphy's Law". Storm came thur last week, lightening struck and fried one satelite receiver and brand new tv,same storm ripped the plastic right down the middle, stem to stern on my greenhouse. High speed internet guys showed up 2 hrs late for appt yesterday, stomped around in my flowerbeds shooting for a location for the dish, insulted the lay out of my house then realized they didn't have enough cable to reach from dish to computer room so they have to come back today. Are We Having Fun Yet?

Hold that thought. Maybe once they're done,I'll be able to get post answered.

One bright ray of sunshine.....my DGD came from Dallas to visit, went to Zumba w/ me then we had a bar-b-que.

RE: Retiring...have plants to trade

Do you have any hydrangeas available?

 o
RE: Retiring...have plants to trade

hydrangealover,
most of my one gallons are looking horrible after last year's heat and drought but the 3 gallons are looking good. Don't know how well I could reduce down rootball to ship w/o costing a fortune and most have lost their tags.
