Wanted: Peonies & Irises

Posted by anuparaj (My Page) on

Please let me know if you have any peonies or irises you'd like to trade. I'm not very particular about what variety you have available for trade as I have a cottage garden and all flowering plants work.
For trade I have quite a few bearded iris rhizomes from the following varieties.
Frivolous - Dark Yellow.
Immortality - White

Unfortunately my garden is reasonably new so I don’t have very much in the form of mature plants. Please let me know if you are interested.

Thanks

Hi there!
I would love to try a couple of your
Iris: Frivolous

I have some iris' to split this year. You can check out my page and see if any interest you. Since I still have snow on the ground I can't tell you what I can split yet. But I would love to do a trade later in the summer.

Just let me know...and THANKS!

Hi Flowergirl:

Absolutely. I can trade some of my Frivolous iris for some of your iris. What variety are they? If you don't know the variety which color?
Either way lets sync when you are ready to trade.

Just so you know, Fall is the best time to divide and ship Peonies..if you dig on them now, you're messing with their bloom cycle this year.

Hi. Is this still available? I have Irises (purple and purple and white variety) and would like to trade for the white irises. You probally know this already but if I split them now we have a chance of not getting flowers this year, but next year you will have mature flowers. This is my second season with Irises and I was disappointed last year with no flowers.

Thanks
Jackie

Hi Browneyedsusan:
Not sure if I replied but I got the plants. Thank you. I was going to forward my trade to you last weekend but most of the plants have bud stalks popping up so I'm afarid to divide.
I will definitely send as soon as I can.
Regards
Anupa

Bearded Irises are very tough. They will not die if you split them now. In fact the ones I sent you were in bloom-I just cut off the flowering stalks. However, if you want to enjoy the flowers, you can send them to me after they are done blooming.
Susan.

Anupa,

I sent you the plants we had agreed on in May, and you have acknowledged this in your post above. You have not sent me your side of our trade yet. Your Irises should have finished flowering by now and should be ready to ship.

I hope you are honest person and will fulfill your obligation.
Susan.
