    Snoopy,

Thanks for your interest! I'll direct mail you about a trade.

Concerning the blooming size of tubers, dahlias are not like daffodils, where the bulb needs to mature in order to bloom. The tuber is a storage area of starch, there to feed the eye/sprout along the neck of the tuber. Size of the starchy tuber varies dramatically... The important thing is that there is viable meristem tissue to produce growth of the plant.

Here is a link that might be useful: Growing dahlias

Looks like you have a nice selection, I would have liked a trade but I just ordered a bunch of tubers for this season.... Maybe next year? I have some daffs you might want.

Daffs are always good! And so are swaps, depending on what varieties you have! I'll be growing over 140 varieties this season, so should have plenty to choose from come fall. Plan on divesting myself completely of some varieties, as no one really needs six varieties of red-black cactus dahlias, etc, etc.

I just updated my list again... Some new varieties that just eyed up, and several gone to others.

I have updated my listing again.

There are a few dahlia varieties that I could take cuttings from, and trade for other unrooted cuttings, if there is interest. Not recommended for newbies.

Hissy Fitz, Pam Howden, Rejman's Midnight, Maggie C, Jessica, Chilston's Pride, Weston Pirate, Wyns Mauve Mist, Juanta, Blackberry Ripple, Robin Hood.

They would be 3-5 inch cuttings, prime size for rooting in a pot. I woUld cut right before sending priority mail, in a small moist cutting cube to avoid drying out. Once roots form on bottom, can be potted up in soilless mix.
