RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

Have thornless red raspberry starts. How many 'Bodacious' Dahlia tubers can u send for 5 starts? Is this blooming size tubers ?

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

Thanks for your interest! I'll direct mail you about a trade.

Concerning the blooming size of tubers, dahlias are not like daffodils, where the bulb needs to mature in order to bloom. The tuber is a storage area of starch, there to feed the eye/sprout along the neck of the tuber. Size of the starchy tuber varies dramatically... The important thing is that there is viable meristem tissue to produce growth of the plant.

Here is a link that might be useful: Growing dahlias

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

Looks like you have a nice selection, I would have liked a trade but I just ordered a bunch of tubers for this season.... Maybe next year? I have some daffs you might want.

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

Daffs are always good! And so are swaps, depending on what varieties you have! I'll be growing over 140 varieties this season, so should have plenty to choose from come fall. Plan on divesting myself completely of some varieties, as no one really needs six varieties of red-black cactus dahlias, etc, etc.

I just updated my list again... Some new varieties that just eyed up, and several gone to others.

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

I'd be interested in dahlia tubers.

Let me know if i have anything you're interested in.

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

Youngent, I sent a private email. Thank you!

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

Sent you an email through GW.

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

Got it, and thank you!

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

I have updated my listing again.

There are a few dahlia varieties that I could take cuttings from, and trade for other unrooted cuttings, if there is interest. Not recommended for newbies.

Hissy Fitz, Pam Howden, Rejman's Midnight, Maggie C, Jessica, Chilston's Pride, Weston Pirate, Wyns Mauve Mist, Juanta, Blackberry Ripple, Robin Hood.

They would be 3-5 inch cuttings, prime size for rooting in a pot. I woUld cut right before sending priority mail, in a small moist cutting cube to avoid drying out. Once roots form on bottom, can be potted up in soilless mix.

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

I would love to have some of your dahlia that you are offering. I don't have any to trade, but here is some of what I have you might like....LOTS of seeds, I can send you a list, I have White Iris, green hosta with yellow edges, rogoochi clematis cutting, a few bromalaid pups, camalia plant, and much more...LMK

Also have lots of Caladium bulbs, they are mixed varieties.

RE: HAVE: Dahlia tubers

I emailed you directly, Iraley. Thanks for writing!

Thank you everyone for the wonderful trades! This was fun!

This trade offer is now CLOSED. At least for this year!
