| Hey folks! I have four varieties of Iris to trade. See wants below photos.
Grandma's Purple Flag. Not 100% on ID of this one, but Iris forum believed it was GPF, and I agree. Bought it many years ago, and to my great surprise I discovered it was a rebloomer. Love this Iris. It's one of two plants I brought here from our previous home. Intermediate size, very vigorous and reliable.
NOID on this two-tone purple. Got it at a plant swap, and girl I traded with thinks it may be Alcazar. They do look alike.
I believe this one is Gudrun. I do know it's a historic Iris - it came from my husband's grandfather's Iris garden. This is the other of two plants we brought over from our previous home.
This is Boss Tweed. Love this Iris! It has a wonderful copper color. Very good substance and large flowers. Have a few nice divisions of this.
WANTS:
My greatest need right now is for a new dry shade bed under an Oak tree. Looking for groundcovers, evergreen and/or blooming. Nothing invasive. I also have a hard time turning down perennial Salvia. I have Caradonna, May Night, Lyrata, Guaranitica Black and Blue, Transylvania, and Snow Hill. One last note: I don't do any red or red/purple flowers. Love deep purple, pale yellow, white, peach. Also no highly toxic plants or flowers (Datura, Brugs, etc.) Thanks! Send me an email through gw if interested. |

| Hello, am I to late? I have wedding wreath cuttings, heirloom sweet sixteen pink climbing roses bush cuttings, white wild rose cuttings, honeysuckle cuttings and sugar magnolia seeds harvested 2010. I would be interested in your white and orange irises. Thanks, Jackie |

| Hi, Boss Tweed I'm interested in the flag iris, Gudrun and boss tweed, have ground cover sedum, blooms yellow in sping grows under cedar trees in the south and it does well, also low growing ground cover that has blue blooms, (love it) I have a Weigela but it is red plmk |

| As it stands now, I have three Boss Tweeds left. Two are pending trades - waiting to hear back. Still plenty of Gudrun, Two-tone purple and Grandma's Purple Flag. Incidentally, if I were you, I'd be going for the GPF. :p Did I mention it blooms again in fall? Did I mention it is one of only TWO plants that I brought here from our previous home? It wasn't easy to make that cut, you know! It's a beautiful, very deep purple that I can never capture in pictures, and it multiplies like crazy. |

| I agree Connie! You can't go wrong with the Grandma's Purple Flag :) I'm still on the lookout for the Great Grandma's Purple Flag to accompany my GPF. Happy Blooms! :) |
|
| I have brunnera macrophylla that would grow under the oak tree. Bishops weed I also have and creeping jenny. |
|
| Christine and Sue, I replied to both of you but haven't heard back. Just wanted to make sure you got my last email. |
|
| Also, if anyone has Iris Cristata, that's something I've really been wanting to try. :) |
|
| Update: As of this morning I have one Boss Tweed and one Gudrun still unspoken for. Still plenty of Grandma's Purple Flag (the actual name of the Iris - did not come from my grandmother), and plenty of Two-Tone Purple. Mailed to poisondartfrog yesterday. If we have exchanged addresses, I will be mailing yours today. Will probably let this go another day, and whatever is left will go to local Master Gardener's plant sale in June. Thanks to everyone for some great trades! |
|
| Boss Tweed all gone. Still have one Gudrun available, several GPF and Two-tone Purple. Offer closes tomorrow. Helen, I am holding back one Gudrun and GPF for you. :) |
|
| OFFER IS NOW CLOSED. Thanks so much to everyone who traded with me! All trades from my end have now been mailed, and all should be received by this Friday or earlier. Happy gardening! |
