PLANTING IDEASHouzz Call: Show Us Your Favorite Garden Combinations for Fall Planting
Got a plant mix you love in your yard? We’d love to see it
Full StoryI am getting ready to clean out a 4ft by 4ft area in one of my beds that this anemone took over. The plant is vigorous but not an invasive thug. And it blooms for a long time, from late summer well into fall, beautiful silvery pink with bright yellow stamens at a time when the gold and yellow tones seem to dominate. In any case, it grows really well in the partial shade under a flowering cherry tree, so I am looking to trade clumps of this plant for other shade or partial shade loving plants. This bed is very visible from the sidewalk, so well behaved non-invasive plants wold be preferred. Hostas, Heucheras, Brunneras, Pulmonarias, smaller non-spreading ferns and the likes would be great. Anything that would look good next to two golden globe thujas and a low hedge of rosy low barberry. My trade page is not the most up to date, but I can be easily tempted.
Thanks!
Marc
