| I have sent and received iris bareroot and "dry" in the past, no special treatment, but I'm wondering if more experienced iris traders have a preferred way to ship them.
Am planning to start shipping them next week. thanks in advance |

| Nope - best way is to wrap DRY tubers in newspaper, label them, pop them in a box and ship them. |

| I too just ship them dry. If I am sending different named varieties, I just write the name on the fan (foliage) itself, and use a little newspaper at both ends, or the top and bottom of the box (depends on the shape) to keep the rhizomes from bumping around in the box and to keep any loose soil from sifting out. I also trim the foliage back to 4'-6' and the roots back some too, to maybe 4"-6". Sue |
