I have some small plants called 'Tree of Heaven'/ This is all I know. It's a very large, tall tree. It's green in the Spring time and through the Summer, it looses it's large leaves in the winter. The tree still stands very tall through the winter and starts sprouting it's leaves in the spring. It grows to about 24 feet, or more.

Totally don't mean this in a mean way, but Tree of Heaven is an invasive species at least here in Oregon and in many states. It actually releases chemicals that kill off other plants. Just wanted people (and you!) to do a little research if indeed its tree of heaven. My neighbor cut his down but I still get seedlings all over my yard still after four years :/

Also considered invasive in NJ.

It is considered a USDA National Invasive Species and is one of the most aggressively invasive plants in the US. Imported from Asia. It is also called Stinking Tree due to the stench.

I strongly advise against planting one, the roots are very aggressive and can easily damage pavement, building foundations and sewers.

Similar looking trees with pinnate leaves are Sumac, Ash or Black Walnut. Any of these would be a better choice.
