I live in zone 9b Texas so nice and sunny and hot. This garden is important to me for it will be for my parents. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I only have the following available for trade:

2)Devil's Backbone cuttings
3) Mother of Thousands small rooted plants
4) bue rose cuttings(plenty)
5) Olive seeds
6) "Sweet Autumn" clematis small rooted vine

I don't have any more as we moved and my beautiful plants had to be left behind and some that I did brinf I lost in the freeze we had in 2011
Sincerely and respectfully,

You might get a better response if you post that you will send postage before the plants are shipped - postage is very expensive.

With that being said, I have found it cheaper to go to the box stores and buy plants, rather than spend money on postage.

At this time of year, all the box stores have many, many plants on markdown racks, sometimes for as little as a dollar each.

Hi sunshine98,

I suggest you update your member profile to reflect that you now live in zone 9b. Just go to the bottom of any page and click on the Member Pages link and go from there.

Flowers, bulbs, canna or other rhyzomes, herb plants, etc.
You might want to also update your Member Trade Page (same link as above) and maybe be a bit more specific about what you would like and what grows well in your area. For example, me being in zone 5/6, I am clueless about what will grow and thrive there.

I'm guessing that it is too warm of a zone to grow bearded irises, right?

Happy Trading!

Thank-you Kjones. I will do that.

THANK-YOU CHEMOCURL i WAS MISTAKEN i AM NOT IN ZONE 9B BUT IN ZONE 8 Don't know why I typred 9b. I will update my page today. Have been gone so long that I completely forgot about it. Thankyou for reminding me. As for irises I have 3 irises left and will be transferring to a better spot today but they are growing. Were too small to plant in ground so have been in pot and so far so good. Mostly everything grows and thrives here except hibiscus, althought I have seen other people with them they do not grow for me. but any vines, bulbs, rhyzomes almost anythings grows here.well best get busy in updating page. thanks!!

You're welcome.

Well good to see you got your profile and trade list updated, but in the meantime, your Member Page email link disappeared. Am I a stickler for details or what?
I 'suggest' go to Edit Your Membership Details and at the bottom of the page, check the dropdown box Show my email address to MEMBERS and also check the box for Allow other users to send you email via forms at our site.

It is so hot in so many parts of the country that a lot of members aren't doing much trading or sharing at this time. I'd suggest you continue to watch for trades and 'postage offers' for things of interest and then a bit later make a new trade post (since there is a pretty good difference between zone 8 and zone 9b.)
