WANTED: Weeping Willow

Posted by Lisa.1968 Z6 KY (My Page) on

My son is 15 and is beginning to be interested in growing things. He said for his first planting, he wants a weeping willow tree to put in the back yard. If anyone has a plant or seedling, please check my list for a trade. I'm hoping to really get him excited about gardening. Thanks so much!

Lisa

I have done some research on these and you can root from cutting supposedly very easily they have some sort of aspirin like tendency in them which is used a lot when using rooting hormone, some people even use a cutting in water along whatever they are already rooting to help developed roots on other plants and fall is the time to do this, I have plenty of weeping willow cuttings If interested.

Hi everyone.
Here is a picture of cutting I took from my weeping willow tree this spring.
Willow trees root very easily in water.
